The Bot 2 are able to adjust to light changes in less than 1 second, completely automatically and without using any battery. 

You’re riding in the sun, and all of a sudden enter into a tunnel? In less than 1 second the lens becomes clear. Riding out of the tunnel into the sun? In less than 1 second the lens goes back to dark. 

It works like a photochromic lens, but instead for it to take full minutes to adjust to light, it takes less than 1 second.

IRID lenses

IRID lenses work thanks to a special (patent pending) liquid crystal film that is powered by a small solar cell, controlled by the electronics. 

They cover any tint between the S1 and the S3 filters, so they are perfect for low light conditions like tunnels or early morning rides, or fully sunny situations*. Plus, they don’t have just two or three fixed tints, but they cover the whole range, following perfectly your eyes’ needs.

The Bot 2 don’t use any battery

Not even a small one. So you will never even have to charge them, and they will never die on you when you need them the most.  Not having a battery also means that they are light like a regular pair of sunglasses, and durable. 

Waterproof

They are also waterproof, so if you get caught by a summer storm, or you simply want to wash them after a sweaty ride there’s no problem, and they are tested to work at extreme temperatures.
